Before we begin, this, my friends, is NOT MewTwo from Pokemon. Nope, not even a little. Hell, I didn't even think it resembled him in the slightist until someone pointed it out. *shakes fist*
Educate yourself, foolish ugly Earth People. This is Giegue, an evil alien, destined to become the Universal Cosmic Destroyer known as Giygas. He cannot be defeated by any weapon, any psychic power, any conventional means. He is, in essense, undefeatable... Except by music. haha Anywho, a day or so ago, I decided that I needed to do some Mother 1 (Earthbound 0) art, since I really haven't done any. Giegue seemed like a good choice, and so I sketched out a few things. I liked this idea so much, I ran with it. Whipped up the initial line drawing with my tablet, which I'm finally getting the feel for. Did some shading, then used a digital watercolour brush to get the background all... watery and awesome. I'm very proud of this thing, actually. Sure, it's in black and white and some people skip over stuff like that, but I think it's one of my best works. Since I'm finally getting the essential hang of using the tablet properly, I'll be able to make drawings look a little more natural than they used to on the PC. Any comments on stuff you see is wrong would be welcome. And so is praise and awe. But remember children: This isn't MewTwo. Call him that and I will cry  Comments good lighting and shadowing... i'd love to see a colored version
  Yup. It still looks awesome in BW. It's very expressive. I didn't know Giegue was also Gyigas. I never even got to Giegue, heck, I stayed stuck in those factories near that 2nd town you visit last time I played. I hope Mother 3 comes here to the US as Earthbound 2!!!!
-- ____________ ~In art, with enough practice and passion you can do ANYTHING! Just keep at it and don't give up.  Giegue is awesome. I've barely begun crawling through Mother 1 on Mother 1+2 whilst learning Japanese (I only understand the occasional phrase or word while talking to NPCs, though I can read and understand all of the PSI and most of the item names), but I've seen more than enough to make a decision, not to mention he's also Giygas (proven by Mother 2's tiny subtitle "Giigu no gyakushu," meaning "Giegue's Counter-Attack/Revenge"), so he would still get my awesomeness vote either way. I've rambled long enough, but keep up the good work!

Don't know him very much cause I've never cleared Mother 1... Anyways, he rocks! -- "- Well, it will be a date to DIE for!" "- Hey! That's my line!!"  i think mewtwo is sweet but i still know about Giygas, at least a little. i never heard of Giegue, i just know of Giygas, who ended up becoming so evil it/he couldn't control himself and Pokey was like using that evil against the robot heros.. whatever. this is a really cool picture and i am going to face it ^^

but off subject....what do you think about the mother 3 anouncement? I'm thinking they might release mother 1+2 over here a little before they release mother 3 so we can play them all in the states. -- </suppression>  It has no feet!
 But, the weird feet-tentacles and back cords are really nifty... I like the design all together. :3 The background/capsule looks really awesome and blendy, too.-- "Redheads... Everytime" |
